Live from the New York Comic-Con: Day 1
Look at all of those beautiful comics. It's geek heaven. The best part of it is the people, everyone gets all of obscure jokes you make, and no one is bored by "who would win in a fight" conversations.
we didn't do much today, we didn't get in until 4pm. However, we did get to see the premier of the new Futurama movie; Into the wild green yonder. The movie was really funny, but the guys at the con had a couple on technical issues with the movie screen. This may be their last movie, but at least they finally got Fry and Leeya together.
The movie itself was much more cohesive than any of the other movies they've made since the series was canceled. Actually, I'd say it's the best Futurama I've seen in a few years.

This guy was working a chalk drawing promoting the new Watchmen movie.

I even found a few mock-celebs at the con. Recognize this guy from his Sci-fi thriller; Pitch Black?

How about the Joker...

These guys were doing some end of the world zombie invasion self defense courses. They were really lame.
I'm really looking forward to meeting the guys from Looking for Group and Penny Arcade tomorrow.
