Grandma′s Graphics

I was looking through the posts on Drawn! when I found a link to a site called Grandma′s Graphics. Its a great treasure trove of old copy-right free images from the Golden Age of illustration. Most of them are from Children's books, like the Molly Brett illustration above. Some of them though are actually quite dark and eerie. Specifically, I'm refering to Harry Clarke's work in Faust and in Poe's Tales of Mystery and Imagination.
I'm going to write more about Harry Clarkes work later, but for now I wanted to share some of my favorite children's book illustrations from the site...
First up, a few amazing pen and ink pieces from Sir John Tenniel's version of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
Now for a few of Harry Rountree's version of Alice in Wonderland.

Lastly, two more wonderful illustrations from Molly Brett.
