In Q1 2008, Monster will unveil a new approach to categorizing jobs and resumes that will dramatically improve the matching process for employers and job seekers.

Enhanced Job Categories

By delivering clearly defined lists of industries and categories, in conjunction with a more detailed set of occupations, we enable employers to more accurately position Job Postings so seekers can easily pinpoint jobs
of interest.

Job Posting Process Changes

The addition of Enhanced Job Categories will result in minor changes to the Monster OfficeHq Job Posting process. An improved Job Location section makes it easier to identify job seekers not meeting specific criteria.
Locations within the Job Search Area
are separated on two tabs — one for U.S. or Canada locations and one for international locations.

The new Industry field allows users to select up to three values identifying their company's industry.

A redesigned Job Search Categories list lets users select occupations by typing part or all of the occupation name (into the "Quick Find" field), or by browsing the entire list (via the "Browse" list), expanding and collapsing the 24 categories as desired.
Following a three-month transition phase, new search criteria will be rolled out in Q2 2008.
Employers will experience more targeted resume database search results and job seekers
will find better match results on job searches.

Monster has embarked on this project to allow for the best possible experience
and results for both employers and job seekers. We are here to help you every
step of the way and look forward to a smooth, successful transition.
